Weybridge Virtual 10k
Run a 10k anywhere, anytime and we will send you your Medal in the post. We refer 30% of your entry fee towards supporting the British Heart Foundation. This is in aid of Czesiek Dudek (Runner 29) who sadly lost his life in 2017.
what is virtual running
Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that this race can be run at any location, at any pace, inside on a treadmill or outside in another country! All you have to do is enter and provide evidence that you have done it. That's it!
Submit your time
Come back to our website with your proof. We accept many forms of proof, as long as we can see you have completed the distance and the time it takes you, we’re happy. Examples include Garmin photos, app screenshots, Fitbit stats & parkrun times.
Race in your own time
You can complete the Weybridge Virtual 10k race on your own around your housing estate, at the gym on a treadmill or even with a group of running buddies – essentially you can compete anywhere in the world! Your pace is individual to you and you will earn your medal for completing, whatever your speed.
Get your medal
We will then upload your results to our league table so you can compete with like-minded runners. A few days later, you will receive your well-deserved medal in the post! (2018 medal to be revealed)
All for a cause
In 2017 the Weybridge 10k launched with 1000 Runners taking to the streets and roads of Weybridge in Surrey. The race was a great testament to the power of running and sports within the community and the event was well received across the town. Unfortunately Runner 29, Czesiek Dudek, collapsed shortly before the finish line and passed later that morning. It is with the support of his family that we are launching this Weybridge Virtual 10k to raise awareness and support for a charity that is very meaningful to them, us and the situation that happened. We pass on 30% of your entry fee to supporting the work that the British Heart Foundation do. Thank you for your support and we would love to see you take part.
